Prediction of electoral activity based on reports of respondents

Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of the adequate prediction of voters` activity at different levels` elections. The author investigates the correlation between voters` readiness and actual voters` activity. He concludes that the answer to the question ―Will you take part in elections‖ can reveal basically the commitment of respondents to the social norm of participation in elections but it is not a single criterium for predicting electoral behavior.
