Abstract

The article analyses the results of the first phase of the joint Chinese-Russian comparative project aimed to find out educational and career strategies of rural area pupils as well as expectations of their parents. The article considers the data of the study conducted in the Moscow region, Altai region and Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The Authors cite distribution of answers to the questions such as: what pupils want to do after graduating from the school, whether they are planning to continue their education, who they want to be after getting education et cet.
