Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of building of the family in modern Russian society. The author states that information and communicative technologies (ICT) are included in modern system of family and marriage and puts attention to the mediated interaction of couples, transformation of mechanism of primary contact between potential partners.

The author analyses the data of the internet dating sites, compares the data with the functions of family and reveals zones at risk, transformations in family functions caused by ICT. The author puts attention to the synthesis of norms and values, as well as partial refusal to transmit cultural patterns resulted from internet intercultural communications.
