Abstract

The article is based on the data of two studies conducted in 2010 among the residents of Krasnoyarsk region and Republic of Khakassia as well as previous researches conducted in Krasnoyarsk region (1995, 1998 and 2005). The author considers the frames of death as complicated hierarchical phenomenon: a) which is manifested in mass consciousness of respondents, and b) which has latent base in mass unconsciousness. The author proposes three types of frames: social, religious and those rejecting posthumous existence, analyses the dynamics of their dissemination, describes the structure and correlation between frames of death and their components.
