Abstract

The article based on the data from the study conducted by the VCIOM-Urals branch considers the role of social optimism as a social and psychological factor, as well as its contribution to the assessment of the performance of the authorities and local government by the population. According to the author, the influence of such factor as social optimism on the evaluation of the activities of authorities is much more important than its influence on the assessment of public well-being indicators.
